Zoppé – An Italian Family Circus

Circus

If you’re longing for some Big Top fun, join us for this captivating 175-year-old European circus, run by the Zoppé family for eight generations. This enchanting, intimate show carries on centuries-old circus traditions, with bareback riding and equestrian stunts, hilarious clowning (featuring Giovanni Zoppé and his son Julien), acrobats, jugglers, and more. Even the horses – and the talented performing dogs – are part of the family.

Ballet Hispanico

Classical Dance

This storied New York troupe has been showcasing Latino culture and choreographers for 45 years. Led by former company member Eduardo Vilaro, Ballet Hispanico’s spectacularly accomplished and versatile dancers bring to life a wide-ranging mix of contemporary ballet, modern dance and Latino traditions the Chicago Sun-Times calls “gorgeous to look at and thrilling to watch.” Prior to the performance there will be a free “Dance Talk” moderated by former Miami Herald Dance Critic Jordan Levin and artists associated with the performance at 6:30pm in the Lab Theater. A post show discussion will also take place immediately following the performance in the Main Stage also moderated by Levine.
